Ok I have just about had it!!!!
Why is it that you are killed by a gun but run over by a drunk driver??
I mean really, there is no difference between the two. Some dipshit uses an object whether intentional or not and kills someone with it. The drunk driver really "kills with a car" but since we couldn't possibly outlaw cars we just let it slide. Of course, I dont want to give up my guns and I shouldn't have to. There are more people killed by cars in a year then by guns.
What got me going is the new video of the Coloumbine kids out shooting guns. Who gives a rats ass! So fucking what! They are out shooting! Does this make them bad people because they are shooting guns?
NO
What makes them bad people is they killed. Period, no ifs ands or buts. Whether they used a hammer or a nail gun. If they would have drove their car on campus and ran people over would there be this much hype? Probably not and the truth is if you use a car to kill someone you will serve less time in jail. Look it up it's out there. I'm not making this shit up.
The other thing that pisses me off is the kids who: steal thier parents guns and shoot up cars, jump off some building break their legs, eat some dog shit and get sick, or burn their house down, Then have the audasity to blame video games or videos or(insert scapegoat here)_________. If they would just kill themselves they would do the world a favor. We dont need stupid shits reproducing and fucking up the gene pool.
The reason they do this stupid shit is because their parents don't beat them. Their parents don't do shit. Well maybe their parents work sixty hours a week to pay for their overpriced house and trophy car and just don't have the time or energy it takes to beat them. If this is the case, Just email me I will come over and beat them for you. Then you dont have to worry about all this BS about child abuse.
My dad beat me if I did something stupid and I knew the consequences if I did it again. Easy to figure out. I had a cufew and if I wasn't home he hopped in the car and found me. Sure made me feel pretty stupid in front of my friends, My dad driving up and saying "get your ass in the car" Hearing my buddies laugh and being ridiculed the next few days, but the next time I was home when I was supposed to be.
The next time a drunk driver kills someone, Let's all get together and sue the automobile industry. Hell they could make vehicles that are complex enough to start that some drunk ass can't do it. Why don't they? It is for the same reason I did stupid shit the first time. I didn't know I was gonna be beat. Well we need to start giving these guys an ass whooping then they will think twice about making these cheap and easy to start vehicles. If you don't agree tough shit because I am right and you know it.
One more thing before I go. These tree hugging hippy fucks that hate SUV's. What the fuck are you driving? If you are driving a car go to hell. You should be driving motorcycles. Fifty plus miles to the gallon= less emmissions, less traffic, less reliance on the oil industry. Hell drunk drivers should be given motorcycle only licenses and wear no helmets. Then when they crash, they would just die off and there you go, no more problem. Fuck wasn't that easy?

Shit has it really been a month since I was in here. Sorry! The station is still active. I have been running 24-7 the week of the fourth. Hope you've had a chance to tune in to us and tune out those other stations.
Have you always wanted to be on the radio or listened to a jock and said I can do better than that? Maybe you have a band and want to do a show featuring your music. Well here is your chance to show the world what you got! Make a cd and send it to us. Remember we will play everything sent to us.
May-31-2002
We have some winners!! Crasher Bert won a T-shirt featuring the new and improved logo. Wear it with pride! Brian S. obviously from Santa Rosa won a Radio 887 Techno Demo cd. If you haven't checked out the store we have new items featuring our logo. I have made some changes to the logo and it is now 200% better. The color and clarity of the image is astounding. So if you were waiting till it improved it isn't gonna get much better than it is now. We now have a phone at the station so listen in I give out the number on the air. You too could be a winner. Thats about the newest thing to change here.
I am trying to get more people to do some shows so if you are a fan of a certian type of music and want to impress everyone with your vast knowledge and music collection. Email me we can work something out. You dont even have to live near the station.
May-22-2002
A lot has been going on here. I have most interviews up I still have a couple more to add. CD's are coming in from all over the world. As I have stated in the past once I get your music it is in rotation.
I will be doing a new / local music show where I will play songs from the cd's and talk about the artists and give contact info for the bands.
Check out northbaymusic.com for info on bands and venues in the entire bay area.
I would like to get more local artists music. If you have a band or know someone in a band send them here! I accept all kinds of music.
I would like this station to be an avenue for the community to hear music from bands that aren't getting their music played on the commercial stations.
May-6-2002
Went to Jesse Jeans coffe house on Mendocino ave last night and saw a bunch of bands play. All were good. I interviewed a few and have to upload them to the site. I also got some of their cd's that I will be playing on the next New Music Show. Watch for interviews from Controvert, Karate High School, One of Many and Atomic Mint coming soon.
Make sure you check out the shows at Jesse Jeans they are doing the community and these bands a big favor by providing a place to play and showcase their talents.
April-30-2002
I have added a contact page with our mailing address and email address and a page where you can download and listen to interviews with the bands. As I am putting together the show for Sat. I am running into time constraints.
This is becoming a real job.
If I play the complete albums I won't be able to play as many on a show. So what I have decided is to play four songs from each CD. I will also not limit them to one show so if there are eight tracks I might play four one Sat. and four the next. I will always have all the tracks in the rotation once they arrive.
April-27-2002
My average for updating looks to be about 8 days. Should I change the name to weekly rant?
I have been getting the CD's that everyone has been sending in. I am going to try and put together a show that will be these CD's. I will play the whole CD then put the individual songs in the rotation. Anyone that lives close enough to hear the station knows I should change my name to the silent DJ cause I dont really do any announcements. I will change this for the new music show.
I checked out a couple bands last night Rubberside Down and One of Many at the Old Vic. They both were good bands. I actually interviewed them and will be adding a interview section to the site.
I dont have the recorder I wish I had but I will make do for the time being. If you have asked for an interview and I havent done one, email me again please and I will get back to you to arrange a time. Thats it for now keep the emails and CD's coming. I will play them on the air.
April-16-2002
Well if you haven't figured it out we are in our new home. Welcome to radio887.com.
Be sure to sign our new guestbook.
The trip to SFLR last Sat. went great I learned a few new things that I need to do to the studio to make it more people friendly. I also had Bert the Turtle as a guest DJ on Fri the 12th. I hope you caught the show. He might actually become a regular DJ here.
The library is updated but still one page Let me know if it loads slow and I will split it. I will be getting some stickers printed for givaways.
We are currently accepting CD's for airplay so if you are in a band or know of a band that wants thier music played in the north bay email me and I will give you the address. Join the ranks of Obsidian, Reign, The Aqua Velvets and many many more who have sent in their stuff.
April-6-2002
Everything is back to normal here. My hits have dwindled back to the normal hundred a day. I am gonna be a guest on San Francisco Liberation Radio Sat. during Bert the Turtles' show 9 to Mid. It should be fun I'm looking forward to it. If your in the city tune to 93.7 and check them out. Haven't got around to the library update yet but keep checking. It will be well over 3000 tracks. I will be splitting it in half this time around.
April-1-2002
I have about 1000 more songs for the library I will be updating that soon. I will split it into two pages to keep my data transfer down and also it will load a bit faster. I will still be on the air although I will go back to my sporadic schedual. Set a memory button on your radio to us and just check us out you never know when we will be on the air.
I want to thank everyone for the outpouring of support. If you want to hear us sign the guestbook to show Santa Rosa that you need an alternative to what the commercial stations are programming.
March-31-2002
Incase you missed it. The article that jbeck@pressdemocrat.com wrote, the one where I asked many times not to be mentioned "again I ask you not to mention Radio887 or 88.7 FM in your story" Does that sound familiar John? Well it hit the front page on Saturday March 30th. Guess what, not only did he mention us he posted a link on their site! I guess there isn't any integrity in being a journalist these days. I will be adding a new page with my rebuttal. So check back often.
If you haven't been to the links page yet go and check out the new section for band links. If you are in a band and want to swap links shoot me an email. Radio_887@yahoo.com
March-26-2002
Well I have been packing up and moving everything to a new server. That is quite some work. I thought it would be easier than it was. The only problem is I will be doing it again in a month.
Yahoo will be shuting down my outside links so when I give my new address you will have to copy and paste it into your browser. Should be a piece of cake right.
I have alot more music so I will be updating the library soon and people have been asking for a graphic on what it looks like to hook up your own station. I will be making a page dedicated to that with drawings and the whole shabang (cool word huh.
Not much new here. A reporter from our local paper wanted to interview me for a pirate radio article he was writing. I graciously declined and asked him not to mention us. He agreed but we'll see when the story comes out.
Also I have a neighbor station. Another pirate has appeared on the scene. He is using the name of a pirate station that used to be here years ago. I wont tell you his name or freq. he might not want the publicity. I have talked to him and he is pretty cool. His music is a techno implosion and is filling a void in our community that exists today. I play the same stuff and am not afraid of the competition, I even asked for a guest dj spot. I haven't heard back on that one yet.
March-14-2002
If you haven't found them yet I have added two new pages. One is a map showing the approximate signal area, and the other is some tips on antennas and how to adjust them to pull in our signal better.
One of the sites on me links page has totally revised their website. URJB is a site made up of a loosely knit group of friends that believe in order to have fun you must beat the living sh*t out of your 4 by 4. Check it out it's worth a look.
March-4-2002
Looks like geocities is going to change the free pages. They are no longer going to offer ftp access for uploading files and they said no outside links.
I am most concerned about the no outside links. They will allow us to link to other geocities sites but not sites outside of geocities. I will wait to see how it pans out and if there are truly no outside links I will pack up and move elsewhere.
I ran 24 hours a day over the weekend starting Friday at around Midnight.I hope you had a chance to listen.
If you are having trouble hearing us, I am being told reception in the car is better than in the home, you should look into an external arial for your stereo. Radio Shack sells some nice dipole antennas #15-2164 and some six element Yagi's #15-2163 for under twenty dollars. These would have to be mounted some how which will cost a few more dollars.
They also sell the wire dipoles for four bucks #42-2385. Which ever one you buy set it up vertical like your car antenna not horizontal like a T. This will give you a better reception on all FM signals since they are radiated vertically.
Feb-28-2002
Im sorry I havent updated lately. I have more music, some punk and some punk cover tunes. So if thats what you wanna hear email me. I will be updating the library soon.
I have an idea for the web site. I will be making a secret link on one of my pages that will take you to a page where you can download music. I have figured out a way to get more storage space from geocities for free. I have over sixty megs now and the sky is the limit. If you are interested email me I'll tell you how. So if there is a song on the playlist that you just gotta have let me know. I will be swapping the songs available for download weekly or as demand increases. I'll let you know when the secret link is in place. Until then keep checking back for updates.
Feb-19-2002
I'm back in town so keep checking 88.7 on the fm dial. Yes it does go that low. I am going back to my sporatic schedual. The paranoia is setting in. They are coming to take me away. Ha Ha
I have been getting about 70 hits a day total for all my pages since yahoo added me. Nice. I will keep my pages coming with new content. So check back often.
Feb-15-2002
Something came up I'm not gonna be on this weekend. Sorry If you were planning on listening. Just write me some hate mail. No one listens any way.
Feb-15-2002
Well I got an email from Yahoo today. Here is what it said,
Hi,
The URL you suggested
http://www.geocities.com/radio_887 has been added to Yahoo!. It will appear after our next update,
probably within the next 2-4 days.
Well isnt that funny three days after saying no way, their tune has changed. I wonder what could have changed their mind?? Could it have been the letter I sent that said,
Oh wahh. Without your help I have over 1500 hits in the last month and will continue to get these hits without your listing me. So I guess it isnt what you believe my content is, I guess it's what the surfers are interested in that really matters. Oh and by the way I am listed in google and since their business continues to grow in these troubled times and you are trying to get a piece of that pie. We all know who has the proper insight into the future of the internet then don't we.
OH well on with our lives. I am broadcasting 24 hours a day for the weekend, hoping to get some more listeners. They won't listen if they can't hear anything, right.
Feb-12-2002
Well I got an email from Yayhoo today. Unfortunately they will not be adding my site to their search engine. I doesn't contain the breadth and depth that they are looking for. OHH boo hoo I dont know what I'll do without them. Wait! Stop! Hold it a minute. I'm not in their search now and since Dec 21st I have over 1400 hits total to my pages and the library is averaging over 20 hits a day for Feb. I guess I dont need them now do I. Hah, Now to really bash them I will ask everyone who reads this to try www.Zeal.com and www.looksmart.com for their search engine needs.
Feb-12-2002
Ok, So it's been a few days. Sorry I have been working on other things. I'm trying to get the signal out farther. I tuned my Transmitter and also my ant. to freq. a little better. I also raised the ant another fifteen feet. this has really helped my signal. In a southward direction you can hear me on the Cotati grade if you are coming north. To the East and North the signal doesn't travel that good. So if you live in those directions you will have to buy an anttenna or your out of luck. The music library is getting hit hard. To date for Feb over 200 hits. Not bad. It will soon pass my main page for total hits. If anyone wants to advertise on that page email me . We can work something out.
Feb-4-2002
By request I have added a ON THE AIR sign on my front page when I am broadcasting.
The music library has been updated. I am still interested on the speed of download for that page, email me with your thoughts on it. The library page has been accessed from all over the world. If there is interest I might be able to have a download section for mp3's.
I continue to get higher up in the search engines. Total page hits is over 1000. Thanks for checking us out.
All my pages are active and working so if you get a error message after clicking a link I am probably updating that page. Please try it again in a few minutes.
Feb-1-2002
This is a great day at Radio 887. The web site has made it into the top 40 on MSN search! I'm not sure how it got that high but lets hope we keep a steady increase.
I have a new set up so the signal should be propagating a little farther, some tweaks here and there have led to a cleaner set-up and this is the result.
Don't forget to check out the new pages and please please sign the guestbook.
The library is going to take a couple more days 'till the update. Since I added the menu bar I can't just paste the whole list I have to go through each letter section at a time. It is on the way though. I have about four hundred more titles to add.
Jan-28-2002
I will be updating the music library. I have some new jazz and blues tunes I will be adding. Can anyone send me info on the load time for that page? I am running DSL so I have a biased opinion on time to load. Should I split the page into A-M and N-#'s?? Let me know 'cause it's only gonna get bigger.
I have added payola an article on the music industry pay-offs to get air time.
I made it into my first search engine!! Woo hoo!! www.Zeal.com check them out. I thought it would be an easy task to get in but unless you want to pay two hundred U.S. dollars a year you are at their mercy to add you. This place is different, They are run by members who add sites they believe to be good ones. So guess what I did. I became a member and what do you think was the first site I added? You guessed it MINE.
Jan-25-2002
I have added a how to section. It lists everything you need to know, in simple english, about starting your own station. I will also be adding some articles about the record industry and how they go about getting their music played.
Jan-24-2002
The simulcast has been pulled. I was running the server from here and my upload speed was around 100kbps. This means I had to run a small bitrate (around 24)so more than 3 people could hear it at one time. The quality was horrible. It would have sounded better if I used soup cans and some string. I will look into a host server but the reason I got into this wasn't for the net access. Hell that stuff is legal!!!
Jan-23-2002
I have added a net simulcast. You can check to see if I'm on the air here.
SIMULCAST
I have also added some stock quotes to my weather page.
Jan-21-2002 The new t-shirts came back they look good, so if you were thinking about getting something I give my thumbs up. Remember the store is a seperate server and they are an independent company. You aren't buying the items from me. They are a large company and you dont have to worry about credit card info getting into the wrong hands. There have been numerous questions about this issue and I'm trying to ease your concerns. If I didnt think they were legit I wouldn't do business with them or have their link on my site.
Now on to site news.
I have the public servant questionaire page up and running. I will get a printer friendly page up if there is interest. Email me if you have a need for this. I turned the volume down on the midi files. Is this a cool feature or is it an annoyance? Let me know if I should keep them running.
If you happen to be surfing my site and get a broken link please report them here .
Jan-16-2002
The t-shirt people (cafepress) got back to me. They have adjusted thier colors to more closely match the image and are resending my order. I don't believe they are recharging my order but this will be determined when I actually recieve the shirts. So far the company is handling this very well. If you are not familliar with them check 'em out. Their link is on my links page.
I have a tech page I will be adding shortly and also a public servant questionaire that you can use if the man comes knocking. It explians your rights and also has questions that the afore mentioned man has to answer to comply with your rights as a citizen.
Very cool, torture the man.
Check back often and don't forget to sign my guest book.
Jan-13-2002
The studio pics page is up and running. Nothing to fancy currently just four photos. studio pics Haven't heard back from the t-shirt people since the first time so I have no idea what is going on over there. Am I asking too much to be kept in the loop?? I am going to start a programming schedual since the number one question is , how come I turn you on but I cant ever hear anything. The answer to that is I'm not on the air when you turn me on. I was thinking maybe Saturday and Sunday nights eight pm to midnight. What do you think?? Email me let me know. Untill then Hual Ass and Take Chances.
Jan-10-2002
Lets see, I have been looking at the 40 watt amp and boy am I drooling. This thing is sweet. I can buy it tuned to my freq. so I don't have to dick with it or buy the tools to try and tune it myself.
I heard back from the t-shirt guys and they are looking into the color issue and will be getting back to me soon. I believe it was done on a Friday and the guy just wanted to go home and not tweak with the color.
I got my new voice overs back from Milky. I love 'em he did a great job, very professional. He added some echo to one really cool. I cant thank him enough, thank you, thank you. click here to hear
I have updated the Music Library page to make it more friendly. It has a nav bar on top and multiple links back to the top of the page.
Jan-5-2002
Ok maybe this will be the almost daily rant! I got the first t-shirts off the press and I'm not happy with the color. Don't get me wrong they look good but the grey is more of a greenish color. I have emailed them and am hoping I can change my image too get a better final result, but other than that the service was fast even with their normal shipping method. About 4 day turnaround over the holiday. Not too shabby.
I'm going to start taking notes cause there were a couple issues you had asked about and I have drawn a blank on what I was going to do about it (senior moment maybe? naw can't be I'm way too young). Dont forget to
sign my guest book and if you want to be added to the links page email me your info and it shall be done.Write to Us Just finished fixing a bunch of my induced errors on this page. If your still having problems email me and I'll get to work on them
Jan-3-2002
We are still running about 1 watt of power so unless your within a mile or two you cant hear us. In the works is a big step to either 15 or 40 watts so you will be able to pretty much get the station throughout Santa Rosa and the surrounding area. I will stay on my sporatic airing of the station for now. If I can get the support and backing I will increase my air times and lengths. Don't forget if you have a song list you want to hear email me, also if you have a band and want some air play get ahold of me and we can arrange to get you on the air. I will email you back and let you know when to listen so you can hear it. In the future I will be adding a tech section and many more features. I promise the studio pics will be up soon so you can see the inside of a pirate station. OOh scary.
